Diogo Gaspar Silva
Diogo is a PhD candidate in Human Geography at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Lisbon, and a Non-PhD Integrated Researcher at the Centre for Geographical Studies, University of Lisbon.

Research Interests
He is an urban geographer with interests in the international mobility and mutation of urban policies by exploring where these policies come from, how and why they are deterritorialized and reterritorialized in different contexts, and what these journeys mean for urban politics. His ongoing PhD examines the international transfer, mobility and mutation of the Business Improvement Districts as a form of local governance and explores their territorial experimentation in Portugal.
Diogo is also interested in discussing the role of epistemic communities and informational infrastructures in the circulation of academic knowledge and in the making of relationships between national and international epistemic communities.
